MYRTLE BEACH TRIO INDICTED FOR ARMED BANK ROBBERY

COLUMBIA, SC—United States Attorney W. Walter Wilkins announced that a Federal Grand Jury returned an Indictment against Ricky Hemingway, 44, Richard Lee Livingston, 48, and Freda Williams, 29, all of Myrtle Beach, for armed bank robbery and using a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. The maximum penalty the defendants could receive is life imprisonment.

The indictment alleges the defendants robbed the Waccamaw Bank located at 112 Waccamaw Medical Park Drive in Conway on February 20, 2009.

The case was investigated by the Horry County Police Department and the FBI. Assistant United States Attorney A. Bradley Parham of the Florence Office is prosecuting the case as a part of Project Cease Fire, an initiative of the United States Attorney's Office targeting gun crimes.

The charges in this Indictment are merely accusations and that the defendant charged is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
