WALTER WILKINS stated today that David Lamont Norman, age 21, of Greenville, pled guilty today in federal court to possession with intent to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine, a violation of Title 21, United States Code, Section 841(a)(1). In addition to the money and scales, powder and crack cocaine were found hidden in Norman's clothes. Mr. Wilkins stated that Norman faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison, up to a maximum sentence of 40 years imprisonment. The case was investigated by agents of the FBI and Greenville County Sheriff's office. Assistant United States Attorney Jeanne Howard of the Greenville office handled the case.
