FEDERAL JURY CONVICTS SPARTANBURG DRUG DEALERS Columbia, South Carolina ---- Acting United States Attorney Kevin F. McDonald stated today that Kenneth Antrone Hill, age 24, Xzeria Damont Jeter, age 26, and, Benjamine Means, Jr., age 46, all of Spartanburg, were convicted today in federal court of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine, a violation of Title 21, United States Code, Section 846. United States District Judge Henry F. Floyd presided over the trial and will impose sentence at a later date.

Evidence presented at the trial established that an organization of more than 40 individuals in the Spartanburg area were being supplied hundreds of kilograms of cocaine from Atlanta for distribution in the upstate. At least half of the cocaine was being cooked into crack cocaine prior to distribution.

Mr. McDonald stated the maximum penalty Jeter can receive is a fine of $4,000,000 and imprisonment for life years. Means and Hill are each facing a maximum penalty of 40 years incarceration and a fine of $2,000,000.

The case was investigated by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and narcotics investigators of the Spartanburg Department of Public Safety and the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Regan A. Pendleton of the Greenville office handled the case.
